Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn

Recipes from Today's Show: Light and Easy

Posted by

Today on MHTV: Sometimes you just want something light for dinner and don't want to be trapped in the kitchen all night. Healthy and fast—no joke, it takes less than 5 min to cook—my lemon-thyme chicken paillards get their great flavor from a basic marinade. I like to serve it with an arugula salad that has a nice crunchy bite from some torn up radicchio. Store-bought Italian ices take a lot of the work out of dessert and get dressed up with a simple, but totally delish, raspberry sauce. More from the show.

Any of you have easy tricks for making a light dinner? Tell us in a MH My Way email: madhungrylsq@gmail.com Don't forget to include a picture!

  • Just days ago I could save all your wonderful recipes...NOW for some reason it wont let me save them. I dont want to print all these because I will never find what I am looking for SO please fix the web site to start saving recipes again. It doesnt happen to Martha recipes only yours.....

  • I am a total cooking show junkie and this is the BEST COOKING SHOW EVER! I have two children, 8 & 12, and my cooking is geared mostly toward cooking for my family versus entertaining. There are lots of decent shows that address making weeknight meals that are family friendly, but this show FEELS LIKE FAMILY! I love seeing Lucinda's chilren helping out in the kitchen, I love seeing how they devour their mom's meals, I was inpsired seeing Lucinda's neices assisting their aunt with such admiration and love. This show is not just about learning to cook, but it shows how magical food can be in bringing a family together and how amazing memories can be made in the kitchen. This is what I try to do in my home with my kids, neice and nephew, and my kid's friends and now that I have this show to learn from that will be so much easier! The recipies are outstanding, mostly better more authentic versions of what I already make so my family accepts them readily. I also love the tips on what can be substituted or left out depending on individual tastes and what you have on hand! This is the practical and valuable advice of an experienced mom who knows the reality of cooking for their family everyday! Thank you so much for the show and keep the recipes coming!!!!

  • I tried to save todays recipes and it would not do it. I also see where another person commented on the same issue. Hope you all fix it soon.
    Thanks,

  • Lucinda uses a thin wooden spoon on her shows. What type is it and how can I get one. I looked on Martha's site but could not find it.
