Just sharing a few of our new recipes as we gear up to film another 8o new MH shows for Hallmark (see zip code locater on the right side of this blog for the channel in your hood). And here's a little update on whats been going on with me. First of all thanks to everyone who's watching the show, enjoying it and taking the time to share your thoughts, ideas, cooking triumphs (and occasional criticism too) with me here on this blog or on our facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/madhungrylsq?ref=ts. I truly value your input and also the instant communication we have. As we are a new show, it takes time to build an audience but that's what we have to do to keep the show growing and evolving for years to come. So spread the word to family and friends--Mad Hungry TV teaches and reminds you how to get your family and friends around your table to enjoy meals together!
I took a break with my own family over the holidays to rest and rejuvenate and spend time together. All five of us had the best time together just chilling out, sharing meals and loving each others company. Hanging out at meal time can do that--make you closer to each other. Since January--I've been at work in the test kitchens readying new recipes for the show, doing the Sirius radio show Eatdrink Live on Thursdays at 4pm http://www.sirius.com/marthastewartlivingradio , working with my colleagues on MSLO food and shooting some new columns for MH in MSL. If you don't know--included every month in Martha Stewart Living Magazine, is a Mad Hungry column--designed to give your easy strategic recipes, tips and tricks for getting meals on your table. Starting in the Febuary issue, the magazine is also available for IPAD download--where the stories are not only super beautiful but also have video too so you can get yet another dose of exclusive bits from the set of MHTV. To download for IPAD check it out here http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/martha-stewart-living-magazine/id399094624?mt=8.
We will start filming Monday and I'll be sure to post pics from the set--new shows will be on the air starting in Febuary Mon-Fri 11:00 am with a repeat show at 11:30. Meanwhile, starting Jan 31 on Mondays (for 13 weeks) at 11:00 look for a new show Martha Bakes whcih will teach us all (yes, me included!) the very basic essential techniques for successful baking with several recipe variations on the technique. I've been seeing bits and pieces of this show and it really is valuable for those of us who either want to learn to bake or take our skills to another level. Don't worry about MH on Monday--we'll be on right after Martha Bakes at 11:30.
As for everyone who's been writing in to ask about the cool products I use on the show:-the famous Spurtle, the low slung all-in-one-pan, jumbo measuring ladle etc--we are also working on a MH product line that will feature all my favorite tools and serving pieces. More on that later as we progress. Meanwhile--thanks again for your support and good will. We have many great new ideas we're trying out for the show so be sure to tune-in, check it out and continue to let me know what you think.
