Recipes From Today's Show: Rustic Italian Recipes

Posted by

TODAY on MHTV: All “rustic” Italian cooking means is that the food is fresh, simple and delicious. A no-cook tomato sauce can not only be made in advance, it’s also really easy—just rip the tomatoes and basil with your hands! Tuna steaks topped with mint sauce are a light main course and a great meal to share with those friends and family who might not be big fish fans. On the side, Neapolitan-style green beans are tender and full of flavor. More from the show.

I just tell them they don't know how awesome it is. Now I have a brilliant logical mind on my side-Thanks Lucinda!!

  • After making the no pasta sauce 4-5 months back I have been keeping the olive oil with red pepper flakes in it at all times. It is so versatile. About a month ago I had a half of a roasted head of garlic left and threw it into the jar. Fabulous on salad and last week I used it to mash red skin potatoes. Marvelous! I love the no cook sauce and the hint about the red pepper olive oil has been great. Thanks
