SL: That large wooden ladle, which also has a cup measure carved inside, is from the same man who carved the elongated wooden spoon/pattle I use called a "spurtle." It was made by a carver in Washington state.
Best,

Lucinda, I've been watching you for a couple of months and I would like to thank you for being such a great teacher. I've watched many of cooking shows, but yours is the one that has inspired me to try cooking again. Cindy

I am NOT a cook....and I have watched many shows and tried their recipes...but this is the FIRST time someone has "kept it real" for "real people" like me.... I have never been able to fix food that anyone liked in my house until now...and that is saying something since I have been married 25 years! The recipes are simple, tasty, and healthy...wow, what a combo! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH ! You have basically saved me from NEVER being able to cook!

I first saw your show when I was home sick. I've caught episodes here and there when I was home during the day. As I am a full time worker I LOVE that your show is going to be on Monday nights. I wish it was on every night. Or on Comcast ON Demand. ooooo what a wonderful idea. Love the show. Love your book!
Oh and I want your kitchen, your pots, and all your utensils.

I, too, would love to have one of those long "spurtles". Please encourage the man (if you still have his information) to post something on your blog; he would sell a ton of them! If he doesn't want to do that and you have his contact information-is it something you cna share?
Thanks and love the show, recipes, everything--and my 17 year old daughters like the sons!

I also love that "spurtle" spoon/turner. Please get the carver to make them available to the viewers of your wonderful and inspiring show, Lucinda!
