Recipes from Today’s Show: Salty-Sweet Meal

Posted by

TODAY on MHTV: There’s not much that beats that salty-sweet flavor combo in food. Braised pork loin gets a savory spice rub and is layered between sweet pears and roasted root vegetables--it will literally have you drooling. To keep things light, a simple side salad of greens tossed with cranberries and almonds gets a flavor boost from a honey mustard vinaigrette. More from the show.

  • I'm watching you cook califlower with various spices and cilantro. I can't stand cilantro... to me it has a soapy taste (I always say Lux liquid). I've read that it cilantro has a soapy taste, I'm allergic to it, yuch! So what do I use... parsley, chervil, what do you recommend? Waiting to hear... CT

  • Lucinda,
I can't thank you enough for the spicy Indian chickpea recipe from Fridays show. I made it Friday night along with brown rice that i added ginger to, with the cucumber yogurt salad and the mango lassi for desert. It was our Friday night date night, and sometimes we go "out" but find the experience of creating something yummy @ home so wonderful too. This was the BEST! As the aromas started to waft through the house the anticipation of eating became part of the experience. Something us viewers cannot get when watching you on TV, but you do tell us! So this was amazing - thank you!!!
We have a business pot luck to attend this week and we are taking YOUR Spicy Indian Chickpea dish - so if you get some good vibes on Thurs evening it will be from US!!!!
