Spring Has Sprung Challenge

It’s finally starting to feel like spring and I’m inspired to use all the fresh ingredients of the season in the kitchen. When the weather starts to warm up, I love to grab lamb, artichokes, asparagus, peas and salmon; with these five items, the opportunities for good eats are endless.

So here’s the challenge: pick at least one of my 5 favorite spring ingredients and use it in your own original recipe. The lucky winner will receive a gift basket of chocolates from one of my fave chocolatiers here in NYC, Chocolat Moderne (you may remember them from my grub street diary). You’ve got two weeks to send in your spring dish, so get started and good luck!

Quick Overview of the Rules:

  • Send in ONE original recipe using at least one of Lucinda’s five favorite spring ingredients: lamb, artichokes, asparagus, peas and/or salmon.
  • Include a picture of your finished dish!
  • Email your recipe and picture to by May 7, 2011.
