Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn

TV Schedule Change

MHTV Update: Due to a small tweak in the Hallmark Channel lineup, there is no "Mad Hungry" episode airing on Mondays, or in the 11:30 am ET time slot. Not to worry though, you can tune in Tuesdays through Fridays at 11 a.m. ET for your "Mad Hungry" TV fix.  Thanks for watching!

  • Thank goodness! I was a little concerned this morning-

  • Thank goodness!! We turned in of Friday and Everyday cooking was on and again today. We will be watching tomorrow and the rest of the week. We enjoy your show so much.

  • Where are today's recipes???????

  • I haven't caught up with the birthday yet, so I am posting here. I made the poached egg in tomato sauce for lunch (late eater lol) I am making cheddar cornbread for dinner tonight to go with bbq chicken, and I am making the Cuban Pork for dinner tomorrow night if my hubby brings home the limes. I am glad you put 24 hours or less lol I don't know which Mad Hungry Cookbook to buy next. I didn't see an associated one to go with the pasta and pudding cake and what looked like soup recipes, but they looked great. The Turkish meal also looked great. I loved the mother on that show. :P The sign of how great a cook LSQ is shows in the cookbooks! The book stays on the page it is opened to lol You just don't know how you have made my life happier (cooking). I love to cook meals that aren't the same ole same ole but want to cook what my family likes as well. You make it easy and different. (I am thinking about making the dark chocolate pudding cakes to go with the cuban pork for tomorrow)

  • Please bring Mad Hungry back to the two time slots!!!! Everyday Food is good, too, but have it run after (or before) the two Mad Hungrys. Sorry, Martha, but these two shows are more realistic to how the typical American cooks.

  • I do not watch cooking shows... EVER, but I do enjoy this one. It even inspires this NON-cooker, to make meatballs week before last. I work during the week but I have been able to catch this show every Monday and Friday. I am soo sorry to see the schedule change.

  • I was concerned too. You have become a regular with me...I love your show!

  • Really, really love the show and Lucinda. She is so real and just like a lot of us Mothers. Thank you for all your good, great recipes, thoughtful suggestions and geuine interest in your viewers.

  • WHY DO YOU CUT THE BEST SHOW ON THIS SET UP SHORTER ? DO AWAY WITH SOME OF MARTHA STEWART AND HER TRAVELS, THAT MOST OF US CAN'T EVEN TO BEGIN TO AFFORD TO CONSIDER..ALL HER HIGH PRICED DECORATIONS, HALF THE WORLD LIVES ON THE STREET AND NO FOOD OR CLOTHES AND SHE'S INTO DECORATING. SHE'S NOT THE ONLY SHOW THAT DOES THIS, THERE'S QUITE A FEW.LET'S ALL TAKE A LONG VACATION. THIS IS PLAIN STUPID....

  • PLEASE DO AWAY WITH MARTHA STEWART....WE CANNOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO IDENTIFYING TO HER SNOBBY WAYS, HER BRAGGING ALL THE TIME....GET REAL AND PUT ON LUCINDA SCALA QUINN....SHE IS THE BEST, AND WE ALL CAN RELATE TO HER AND SHE ISN'T SNOBBY...BUT A TRULY REAL PERSON AND INSPIRATIONAL...MAKES ME WANT TO COOK ALL THE TIME.

  • PLEASE Do AWAY WITH MARTHA STEWART AND ONLY SHOW MADHUNGRY...LUCINDA SCALA QUINN IS THE BEST...THE MOST TALENTED, WARM, FRIENDLY PERSONALITY AND THE BEST COOK EVER. SHE DOESN'T BRAG ALL THE TIME, AND WE CAN IDENTIFY WITH HER. HER SONS ARE SO GREAT TOO. IF MARTHA STEWART AND EMERIL ARE BEING SHOWN ON HALLMARK, I WILL NEVER WATCH AGAIN,A ND SO WILL A LOT OF OTHER LADIES....

  • I love your show. I have tried several of your recipes and my family who is very fussy loves them. Keep up the good work. They should eleminate some of the Martha Stewart and shows and put you on more. At least you use ingrediants everyone has or can get. Keep up the good work.

  • I heartily agree with all of the above. I used to
and let me emphasize used to watch all the food net-
work shows and then one day I came across Mad Hungry....I LOVE IT AND LUCINDA AND HER SONS!!!!!
We certainly could do with less of Martha and more of Lucinda!!!!!

  • Why would you even consider taking Lucinda off at 11:30. I love the way she presents the recipes & just thoroughly enjoy her programs. I have cooked more of her recipes than I have cooked my Mother's from way back. Now you cut her back to 1/2 hr. per day??????????

  • I really enjoy Mad Hungry. Lucinda is so "real". I love the way she interacts with her sons on the show. Her dishes are affordable and usually don't call for so many ingredients that you don't want to bother.
I'm sorry to see her time frame change, the 11:00 to 12:00 slot was perfect. I'm also sorry to see her shows go down to only one 30min. segment per day.

  • Where are your recipe archives. I dont get to print them everyday. I also store them in marthastewart.com. Will you be updating the website?

  • Why did you take Mad Hungry off at ll:00 A.M.?????????????????????? The time was perfect and she is so much better than most of the cooks on HGTV.

  • Why did you take Mad Hungry off and put emirle on????????????????????

  • I just started watching MAD HUNGRY & was trying to retrieve a recipe from Lucinda's "Easy Entertaining" episode with her brother, when I discovered this blog. It was refreshing to see my thoughts about MZ.Stewart reflected here. I thought it was just me! I live on a mountaintop in TN in the real world, & not only don't I have access to her ingredients, they are too expensive anyway. Who makes those recipes, crafts, etc., except metropolitan hostesses? And by all means, let's all have our own expensive crystal, china, & cooking utensils, not to mention hens & eggs, lemon trees, orchards, & perfectly-manicured gardens. (I'm sure we would if we could pay people to care for them.) I want Lucinda with her delicious, healthy, affordable recipes! What a breath of fresh air that would be!

  • I just lovvvvvvveeeeee your show. My husband wanted me to watch less decorating shows and watch some cooking shows! Well, I found your show and I am so in love with your recipes. Keep up the good work! You give a great presentation and make it look so easy.

  • Where are your recipe archives? I'm not happy with the schedule change-- much prefer Lucinda!

  • Lucinda, I just adore your show! I agree with many comments here about the accessibility and affordability of your recipes. You make cooking fun - AND delicious! I have a relative who never cooks, and I am going to recommend your show (and cookbook) to her, because your presentations are very, very informative (I learned about Campari!) and you show in a simple way how to prepare items we may not be familiar with. I love all the little extra tips you give along the way, too! All I can say is "Don't go changing-love you just the way you are!" Girl, you can COOK!!

  • Love your show Lucinda and am so disappointed
that they moved you to 12:00pm and only 1/2 hour.
Emeril cannot replace you. Why him?

Also I miss the archives on your website. Are you
going to put them back. Finally, a show with a chef
who cooks recipes we can follow with ingredients
we can buy without standing on our heads and they
put Emeril on for an hour. Your style is so relaxing and easy going. Love ya!! Any chance
    you'll have an hour again.

  • I REALLY LIKE WATCHING LUCINDA AND MAKING HER RECIPES.

BUT I'LL NEVER FORGET SEEING HER DORKY SON PRESSING DOWN ON THE PIECES OF FRENCH TOAST WITH BOTH HIS PALMS WHEN SHE HAD HER BACK TO HER, TALKING TO THE CAMERA. SHE DIDN'T SEE HIM, BUT WE ALL DID. THEN, AS IF PRESSING DOWN WITH BOTH PALMS ON TWO AT A TIME WASN'T ENOUGH, HE TURNED THEM OVER AND DID IT AGAIN ON THE OTHER SIDE. OMG! OMG! GLAD I DIDN'T HAVE TO EAT THAT.
SHE NEEDS TO HAVE A TALK WITH HER SON.

  • I haven't enjoyed a cooking show this much since way back in the day when Sara Moulton first started out on the Food Network. Just as LSQ does, she made things that were affordable & really interesting with little tips for the home cook. I am in agreement with others in the fact that the time slot move has thrown me for a loop! I certainly realize that MadHungry is a Martha Stewart production, however why would you move a show that was sooo succcesful & reached so many fans to a place when most busy folk may be unable to watch & replace it with more M.S. & Emerel???? HALLMARK SCHEDULE GURUS NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER LONG LOOK AT THIS MOVE!!!

  • DON'T YOU READ THE COMMENTS Lucinda beats Emerile and Martha. WHO IS DOING THE SCHEDULing. I won't hurt you but am dissapointed in your scheduling and choices of Emerile over Mad Hungry............... I am an older viewer but am leaving. HALLMARK SCHEDULE GURUS NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER LONG LONG LONG LOOK AT PUTTING EMERIL ON IN PLACE OF MAD HUNGRY AND YOU COULD LEAVE OFF THE ANIMAL SHOW.

  • Even though Martha Stewart is extremely knowledgeable in many areas, and her presentations are interesting, I assume from the commentary on your web from listeners that a majority would prefer more LSQ. Her presentations are down to earth. I have tried several recipes and they have been well-received in my family. I appreciate the ease in preparation as well. Please give Lucinda more time.

  • I have a question: what brand of enameled cast iron cookware do you use on your show? You seem to use very practical pieces. Thank you!

  • I really love watching LSQ on her cooking show,it is my favorite cooking show by far. I have to work during show times so I set my DVR so I can watch it later. I have learned so much and have tried several of your receipes and have enjoyed them so much. I also have purchased two of your cookbooks. Thank you for being so down to earth with your cooking. It's good to know you can fix good meals with things you have on hand.

  • I love every minute of your program. Your boys are fun and your style of cooking are superioe. I've changed my way of cooking.

Keep up the good work, and DON/T GO AWAY. Ruth

  • I love Lucinda and I love Emeril and Martha too! While the average home cook may not make every dish they present, we can all learn something new to keep our menus fresh- a different ingredient, New technique, etc. Please keep these three fabulous teachers on the schedule as often as possible!

  • Please, please - keep Lucinda scala Quinn and more
