TODAY on MHTV at 11:30 am ET: Looking for some savory satisfaction? Try my shepherd's pie, inspired by the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards. A description of his twist on the classic dish in his autobiography left me hungry -- I couldn't wait to try his technique of layering raw onions between the lamb mixture and mashed potato topping. All you need on the side is a light salad, and for dessert, creamy cup custards. More from the show.

I am making this for dinner tonight! One small thing that I hope will work though: I have to do the last part on the grill to keep the house from getting hotter. I will have to wait on the custards
I made Richie's Ribs, which is going to air tomorrow, on Friday! They were so good! We didn't even use any bbq sauce. I had polenta to go with it. That was my first time to make it. I loved it so much that I had it for breakfast, (fried) and lunch (heated) the next day.

Lucinda,
I've recently got on a kick using endive. It started with the radicchio and endive side dish you made with your teacher friend. I will try your endive salad next.

Hi Lucinda,
I loved the picture of your mom that you posted last week, just beautiful. As I see that she will be cooking with you for the new season, I was wondering if Virginia Willis and John Contratti will be back. They were my two favorite guest cooks. I love cooking with my friends and family. This is what makes your show so much better than the rest.
Thanks,
Edie

Lucinda,
I love your shepherds pie. I haven't had it in years. I agree with Edie. Your show is unique. The setting and family and friends cooking with you gives it a warm appeal. It's the man reason I watch. I would love to see your mom, John and Virginia back on the show. I look forward to it. I like when you cook with your boys too.
