Recipes from Today's Show: Freezer Friendly

TODAY on MHTV: The freezer is your friend on busy nights when you want a home-cooked meal but are tight on time. Today, I'm creating a tasty side dish of sauteed corn and edamame with icebox ingredients, and stocking up on a few containers of my savory sausage meat sauce and make-ahead chocolate-peanut cookie dough so I'll always be prepared when unexpected guests stop by. More from the show.

  • You said that when you used garlic the smell still remains on your hands.

I have found this to work you may try it.

Rubbing your hands with salt and a little water will remove all smell of garlic.

Let me know if this work.

  • although i am dedicated to Martha as a blue blood, sarr, and a log cabin republican ... hint hint .... you, your show and recipie simplicity drive me crazy mad hungry ! Feeding my boys or just to play, i am running my kitchen the very same way ... i am loving you in every way ! anoblefeller@cox.com ...

  • Thanks for all your wonderful hints and recipes. Is there a way if I miss a show I can watch it via computer? What website? I can find the recipes from each show if I miss, but it's nice to watch the whole show.
    Thanks,

  • Never baked a cookie in my life.
Your recipe for choc chip/peanut butter cookie looked so good that I had to try it.
    They came out perfectly!!
Everyone raved about them. Best part was that it was so darn easy.
    Thank you for this recipe.

  • Please return to the full hour of Mad Hungry! Emeril's recipes are full of large quantities of fat-delicious I'm sure, but not great for your heart! He's a great chef, but I want to see more healthy meals-like Lucinda's.

Thank you Hallmark for airing Mad-Hungry. I just love taking a break from house work to eat my lunch while getting dinner recipes from Luncinda.

  • I live in a Chicago suburb where Mad Hungry always
came on at 10:00 a.m. I loved watching you, Lucinda
and your sons and/or friends cooking together. You
are a natural teacher and are really down-to-earth.
You have wonderful, easy, and delicious recipes that
    I always enjoy making.
Why Hallmark moved your show to 11:00 a.m. instead
of leaving it where it was and putting Emeril on after you is beyond me. I don't have a DVR or any
other way to watch your show. I can access your
recipes online, but it's not the same as watching
and listening to you telling where and when and how
your recipes came from. Why do "they" always have
to move things around and annoy their loyal viewers?

  • I agree with Christina. I made the Chunky Chocolate Peanut and Cinnamon cookies and they were a big hit! I love that you can freeze them, and take them out and bake them at a later date. I also would love to be able to watch the show via internet on days that I miss the show. I have learned so much from this show. Thank you Lucinda.
