TODAY on MHTV: When my bothers and I were younger and lived along the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario, we spent many a meal, and have many fond memories of, the Midwestern roadhouses. Today my brother Jim is here to help me create a meal inspired by those roadhouses. We're frying fresh perch and creating a relish platter with corn relish, pickled beets, and cottage cheese. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I'm making a classic coconut cream pie. More from the show.

    My daughters and I LOVE you. They followed in my footsteps of loving to cook and bake. When I found your program, I turned them onto you. They adore the recipes and so do I. Especially LOVE the coconut cream pie as I, too, am a coconut lover.

  • I really enjoy your show and recipes. My family is Ukranian and we helped my mom when she made piroshkis (small meat pies). It was a big production but I enjoyed it and I still love to cook. I recently watched one of your shows that I had recorded a while back. You made lasagna and used fresh made pasta. For those of us that cannot find freshly made pasta, or don't have the time to make it. Would you consider using the large rectangular wonton wrappers in place of the fresh made pasta? I recently made a lasagna with the wonton wrappers and the people at my husbands office could not tell the difference.
    Also, we would get two of your shows a day but one of the time slots was replaced with another cooking show (which I don't watch). Hope this is temporary.

  • I miss your archived recipes. Sometimes I remember a recipe that you did and just need a measurement or an idea on what exactly went into the recipe. Please bring them back!

  • I happened on your show while searching for something interesting on my TV. I watched, loved, and will continue to watch every day that I can. I have never watched a recipe show before and I am so happy I found yours. I am grateful for the tips and recipes. I am not a great cook, but now I think I will improve.
