Recipes From Today's Show: Wonder Years Dinner

Posted by

Today on MHTV: There’s no bigger compliment than when someone says, “Just like mom used to make” and today, I have my amazing mom Rose in the kitchen to make all my favorite dishes from growing up. No one makes a better meatloaf than my mom so she is going to show us how to make her Old School Meatloaf. Zucchini and Potato Jambot is a quick and simple side dish that adds some veggies to the plate. For  a sweet, creamy and delicious dessert, our Pear Ginger Parfait is layers of  vanilla and maple-mascarpone cream, tender pears and topped with thin ginger cookies.

Recipes from this Episode:

  • I cannot pull up any recipes from todays show, specifically the homemade chili sauce Lucinda made. Also, I tried to research some other recipes, and same thing...zip! I checked some other sites and everything is pulling up fine. Just problems???

  • Hi Bev,

Sorry about that, all link problems have been fixed for today's show. About the ongoing frustrations and issues with recipe links: we're working on fixing them with the MSLO digital team but really (and sincerely!) appreciate your continued patience and support with Mad Hungry.

  • Saw the episode "wonder years" and it brought back soooo many memories of my growing up years. We too had potatoes and zucchini. The Italian slang for "Rattatoui". The onle difference was that because it we a summer dish in those days, when the zucchini were so plentiful, my grandmother would also add fresh garden tomatoes, cubed the size as the other vegetables. Thanks for reminding me.

  • You strongly resemble your Mom, who is beautiful!

  • Lucinda,
What a great show it was! It was delightful to see you interact with your Mom.......such a classy lady. I can tell you are entremely proud of her, as well you should be. Thanks for sharing your family with us, along with all the great recipes.

  • I bought your book Mad Hungry thinking it would have the recipes you do on the show.
I was very disappointed that it is not a new book. Are you going to write a new book so that we can watch and have the book in front of us so that we can write down any changes or additions you make. I watched your holiday video and I am convinced that you changed your measuring spoon and the salt should be 4 teaspoons of salt when making the rub for the Standing Rib Roast.
    Thanks, Marilyn
