TODAY on MHTV: My boys don’t like "wimpy" salads; they’ve got to be big, hearty, and satisfying. Sausage and pepper salad is filled with two kinds of Italian sausage—sweet and spicy—and is tossed with sautéed vegetables and buttery slices of garlic crostini. Then for something quick and simple, but still filling, crisp Iceberg lettuce wedges are drizzled with my ranch-style Green Goddess dressing and crumbled bacon (natch). My modern ambrosia salad is a twist on the classic fruit salad and uses thick Greek yogurt with tropical fruits. More from the show.

I have a 10 y.o. son who will not touch salad unless bribed. I made the ice-berg wedges with Green Goddess dressing tonight. I was ready for an argument, but to the whole family's surprise he LOVED it! He was actually the first one to finish his salad!!! Thank you for this wonderful, healthful recipe!
